Step Into Adventure

We all long to be in the great outdoors, it gives us that freedom to breath in the air and nourishes our soul.

The Process

We are not new to working under pressure, but with just over 2 weeks to pull the shoot off, this campaign for the Armadillo 2 was definitely was a fun challenge for us. We were given a loose creative from our clients at Nortiv8, and had to make that idea a reality with no time to spare. We planned out locations, shot lists, casting talent, scheduling, travel, and all the other minute details that come with production.

Even early on in conversations, we knew Lake Tahoe would provide both a picturesque backdrop and a diverse landscape. We arrived early and spent a day scouting with the team, making sure we had a solid plan when it came to the shoot, especially since we would be juggling video and photo content with the same lead talent. We spent two days shooting with an amazing team and talent.

The video was shot on an Alexa Mini LF paired with a set of Zeiss B Speed Primes all either handheld or on an Easy Rig to really accentuate the movement and immerse the viewer into the terrain. As for lighting, we used a combination of Lightbridge CRLS reflectors and a Scrim Jim given we had to hike to various locations. For the camping scene we used a range of Aputure lights powered by the solar panels and auxiliary battery on our production van.

The Result

To be able to work with such a talented team in a truly beautiful location and produce photo and video content both the client and our team were happy with is what we strive for with every project!
